I cannot express how excited I am to find out I won the 2008 Readers Choice Award from The Bride's Book! The winner was determined by totalling the nominations from couples that sent in their information from across the state and told why they thought I deserved to win. Biltmore Estate Engagment Session

Katrina and Paul came in for the weekend and we had the opportunity to do an engagement session. Since they are getting married at the Lioncrest at Biltmore, we chose to do their engagement session on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate. It was beautiful as always. Since dogs are allowed, we found the perfect spot to play with them for a while. There are so many locations to photograph that we just ran out of time. They had dinner reservations at Deerpark so we had to stop. I can’t wait for the wedding!

Jennifer and Brian

As you saw before, Jennifer was a gorgeous bride and her wedding day was just a beautiful! Brian is a fireman and wanted so bad to have the firetruck as transportation from the church to Champion Hills Country Club, but she told him months prior they were not able to get it that day. She wanted to surprise him and that she did! As they walked out of the church, he had no idea what was waiting for him.


He was so happy! Check out some of the cool shots…or should I say hot! shots of them with the truck!






Here was another gift she got for him. The both gave each other watches and when they opened their gift, they each laughed and said this is what I gave him/her.


They had grand welcoming to the reception with all their guests waiting for them to arrive.


The view during their first dance was incredible.


How cool that the sugar crystals on the cakes matched her dress!


EDIT: So I woke up this morning to find this wonderful email waiting for me from Jennifer...

"Corey,I am absolutely, unbelievably in love with our pictures! You did an amazing job! Thank you so much for being a part of our day. I have already watched the slideshow four times and have since told everyone else! When Brian and I watched the slideshow we truly felt like it was our wedding day again. We greatly appreciate all of the time, energy, and attention to detail that you put towards making our memories a dream come true everyday..."

Richmond Hill Inn

Marie and Jon were married at the wonderful Richmond Hill Inn located in Asheville, NC. They are such a perfect couple and their families are so kind. It was a very emotional day with lots of those big happy tears filled with so much love, and lots of laughter. Stacey from the Bloom Room did a fantastic job with the florals and Cakes by Jane provided the delicious cake. It amazes me how two people can be so in love. It is so obvious they are perfect for one another. Thank you Marie and Jon! I hope you are having a wonderful time in Costa Rica!

Lioncrest at Biltmore Estate

I love big happy tears, and Cathy made me cry those big happy tears. I received an email from her letting me know how much she, Stephen, her friends, and her family loved the images. Her words really touched my heart. When I got the email, I went and woke my husband up (I work late into the night sometimes) to read it to him. He immediately thought something was wrong when I came to him crying in the middle of the night, but when he realized that I was smiling but couldn’t speak, he took the printout from my hand to read it. I love hearing feedback about my work. I so love what I do and cherish every moment of each wedding. Cathy and Stephen were married at Lioncrest on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. Lisa from Exquisite Events kept the day flowing with her wonderful planning. Big kudos to Lisa! Thank you to everyone who made this day perfect!















To Cathy and Stephen: you both are amazing wonderful people, and I am so grateful that you chose me to be part of your wedding day. I hope your life is filled with all the joy, love, and happiness you felt on your wedding day!

Basilica and Copper Crest Inn

I am so excited about sharing this wedding! Linnea and Paul chose the Basilica of St. Lawrence in Asheville for their ceremony and the reception was held at the Copper Crest Inn located in Hendersonville, NC. It was a destination wedding for everyone so Linnea wanted to make sure there was plenty of entertainment for the guests while they were here. The first night the Copper Crest Inn hosted their rehearsal BBQ dinner. It was complete with bluegrass music by Balsam Range, burlap and linen table settings, lemonade, and an ice cream bar. Oh so fun!

The Basilica is one of my favorite locations for a ceremony in Asheville. It is breathtaking!









The ceremony was followed by courtyard games of Bocce Ball and Croquet. Everyone had a wonderful time and it was very relaxing. The rest of the evening was perfect for the cocktail hour where Linnea and Paul had a great time mingling with all their family and friends.



I must say that Blossom’s at Biltmore Park did a fantastic job with all the florals. The reception area was amazing! All around the tables were garden areas with trees, florals, and lots of greenery, beautiful pink balls, and twinkle lights.
















Linnea chose her colors and location from a painting her friend had given her of the mountains she loved so much. She even had her invitations and programs created with a picture of the painting. It was beautiful!


I could go on forever about this beautiful wedding, but I will finish with what Linnea told me after the wedding. When I asked her who I should talk about on my blog that helped make her day special, she said Cassie from the Copper Crest was the person whom she couldn’t have done it without. She praised her customer service and friendship throughout the planning process. Thank you to everyone who did a spectacular job with this wedding!

Jennifer's Bridal Portraits

Jennifer and Brian’s wedding has finally come, so I get to post her bridal pictures!!!! A bridal session is more than just a few pictures. It is a fashion session to get great portraiture and still have fun. This day couldn’t have been any better. Here are a few of my favorite art pieces from the day. Jennifer you are stunning! Houston Mill House in Atlanta

Congratulations to Bobby and Stephanie! You probably saw this couples’ engagement session a few posts back, and now I get to post the beautiful images from their day. Oh my goodness, it was wonderful. A beautiful day, gorgeous flowers by Southern Bouquets, the Houston Mill House in Atlanta, GA, a fun bridal party, and two people in love. What a great recipe for a wedding!













I love this image with her parents dancing in the background. A perfect moment.

Kevin and Brooke

This is the first time I worked mostly with the groom leading up to the wedding. It was great! He did a spectacular job with the planning. Go Kevin!!!! He told me he was a hands on kind of person, so they both got to be involved in the details. How cool is that! They were married at a chapel in Banner Elk, NC and the reception was held at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone. The staff and catering department were fantastic! I would definitely recommend them. One of the awesome details of their wedding is the time and date they chose. They were married at 3:45 on 6-7-08. That couldn’t have been planned any better. It was perfect! Thank you Brooke and Kevin!

Crest Center and Pavilion

Rachel and Andrew chose the Crest Center and Pavilion for their wedding and reception. It has stunning views of the mountains and the staff were fantastic to work with. It is a great location. As we were shooting their couple photos the day of the wedding they told me a funny story about the day Andrew proposed. The name of this post should actually be "lets steal it!" Andrew had the idea of setting up a surprise proposal for Rachel, and her friends were in on it. He was supposed to be out of town but had come in for this surprise without her knowing. He had the ring waiting in a gazebo wrapped with her name on it. As she walked by, her friend pointed out the gift just sitting there with no one around. Rachel had the bright idea and said "we should steal it." But little did she know it was hers anyway...When she picked it up she saw her name on the box and then out came Andrew and proposed. How sweet, yet funny, is that! Check out what and beautiful wedding this was!
